Overview

What are we looking for?

Moorhouse is supporting a major UK regulator in identifying an experienced Financial Crime Project Manager to lead a programme of work with the strategic initiative to enhance financial crime detection through improved data, intelligence and technology capabilities. 

 

We are seeking candidates with strong financial crime experience who can combine regulatory knowledge with proven end-to-end delivery capability across complex programmes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of financial crime risks, controls, detection capabilities, and the regulatory landscape, together with experience of project managing and delivering large-scale transformation initiatives.

 

If you have a strong financial crime background, experience delivering within regulated environments, and can demonstrate successful involvement in complex programmes from inception through to delivery, we would be keen to hear from you.

Essential skills

Essential Experience:
  • Strong financial crime domain knowledge, including one or more of:
    • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
    • Fraud prevention and detection
    • Sanctions screening
    • Financial crime investigations
    • Transaction monitoring
    • Risk and controls frameworks
  • 7 - 10 years of experience working within financial services, regulatory bodies, government organisations, or similarly regulated environments
  • Demonstrable involvement in complex financial crime or regulatory change programmes
  • Evidence of delivering programmes running for 12 months or longer, and ownership and accountability across multiple phases of programme delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across business, operational and technical teams
  • Experience contributing to programme governance, reporting, risk management and delivery oversight
Highly Desirable:
  • Experience supporting financial crime capability, data, intelligence or technology transformation initiatives
  • Previous experience working alongside regulators, supervisory bodies or enforcement agencies
  • Knowledge of financial crime regulatory frameworks, obligations and emerging risks
  • Experience operating within large, complex programmes with multiple stakeholders and dependencies

What do I need before I apply

Engagement Details:
  • Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
  • Daily rate up to £400
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Location: London (Hybrid, approximately 50% office attendance)
  • Start Date: 1 October 2026
  • Duration: 12-month engagement

  • A subsequent interview with the client
